Light Ideas 1970s chaplet beaming applicable with resistor ballast

A 1970s resistor ballasted lightweight fluorescent fitting designed to plug into an existing ceiling rose or batten holder. It takes a 2ft 20W MCF and a 2-pin starter which is accessed by unscrewing one of the end caps. For reliable starting this fitting should be inserted with the resistor (which runs the length of the fitting) on the neutral. This allows a glow discharge between the live electrode and the wall of the tube to form which greatly assists in starting.
